AV Event Staff - Audio Tech

Essential Responsibilities

• Configure and operate a DiGiCo console for either a house mix or for monitors
• Auxiliary speakers and talent with “wiring up” and swapping out both headsets and in-ears
• Set up, wire, and patch microphones and on-stage wedges as needed
• Work closely with clients, event managers, and team members to understand AV needs and provide solutions that meet these requirements
• Provide technical advisement to other departments upon request
• Assist proactively troubleshooting and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to live events
• Work closely with the venue’s AV Manager and clients during shows and events

Requirements

• Knowledge of DiGiCo Quantum consoles
• Knowledge of D&B PA Systems (Knowledge of D&B Soundscape is a plus)
• Knowledge of D&B Soundscape is a plus
• Knowledge of MADI and Dante Routing (Dante Certification is a plus)
• Excellent problem-solving and incident management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Available to work variety of shifts, including mornings/evenings, weekends, and potentially holidays
• Reliable transportation to and from the venue

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Use hands and fingers with dexterity
• Reach with hands and arms
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be louder during live events
