Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Installing all equipment necessary to modify brand-new vehicles into police and emergency vehicles, including routing and installing wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles.
• Disassembling and reassembling factory vehicles.
• Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics with limited help.
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment that may require heavy physical duties, including frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling.
• Fieldwork may be required at times, and varying work hours may be necessary.
• Maintain shop and work bay cleanliness.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.
• Work independently, maintain accurate records, find efficiencies while respecting quality, and contribute ideas to the company.
• Supply own basic set of tools commonly used in the performance of automotive repair work. New employees will be given time to purchase these items after hire if required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with automotive electrical systems.
• Experience working with automotive mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Constructive team player.
• Positive attitude.
• Detail-oriented and focused on quality workmanship.
• Prioritization of candidates with relevant training, experience, and/or Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification.
