About the role
We're hiring for an Emergency Vehicle Technician/ Vehicle Upfitter in Leesburg, VA!
Responsibilities
- Installing, repairing, testing, and removing 12-volt law enforcement vehicle equipment.
- Working on and seeing small objects, communicating well with others, and working on confined spaces.
- Performing limited repairs & troubleshooting of low & high voltage electrical systems with minimal supervision.
- Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
- Operating Monday- Friday, some weekend work may be applicable for large projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience is desired but not required.
- Knowledge of vehicle wiring, identifying electrical circuits, and experience with installation of emergency lighting is a plus.
- Able to communicate well with others, work on and see small objects, have good hearing and color vision, be prompt, and work independently.
- DOT Vehicle Technician Certification is desired but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
- Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Bend, kneel, or crouch to file or equipment stored at ground level.
- Tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
