Position Overview
Saddleback College seeks an equity-minded candidate to teach Automotive Technology and related courses to a diverse student population, including dual enrollment courses. The ideal candidate demonstrates:

Primary & Secondary Schooling (K-12) Teaching & Classroom Resources
Teach automotive courses and provide critical feedback to support student success.
- Develop culturally responsive curriculum and effective teaching strategies for diverse students
- Participate in department, division, college, and district committees
- Assist in curriculum development, assessment of Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), and program improvement
- Maintain office hours and stay current in industry trends, technology, and instructional methods
- Teach dual enrollment and specialized programs as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 years professional experience OR Associate’s degree + 6 years professional experience
- ASE Certifications: General Automotive (G1), Electrical Systems (A6), and 609 Air Conditioning
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ years working in automotive mechanics, repair, or technician roles
- 2+ years teaching experience (high school, college, private institute, OEM, aftermarket)
- ASE Master Certification, L1, L2, L3 certifications

Compensation & Benefits
- $89,797 – $126,383 per year
- Compensation depends on education, experience, and placement on the Academic Salary Schedule
- Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, and legal plan
- 36 hours/week, 10 months/year
