Automotive Technology Instructor
Dallas County Technical Center is seeking an Automotive Technology Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants must pass a background check and obtain Career Education Certification.

This is a 9-month position in a supportive, student-centered learning environment. CTE teachers may apply up to 10 years of industry experience toward their salary. The official district salary schedule is available on the school website.
Requirements
Qualified applicants must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university and 4,000 hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten years.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and 5,000 hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten years.
- No degree and 6,000 hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten years.
Candidates must be ASE certified. Teaching experience is preferred but not required; those without prior teaching experience must have 2-3 years of closely related occupational experience within the past 10 years.
Schedule
Students attend school four days per week on a calendar designed to optimize learning opportunities.
