About the Role
Technicians perform vehicle repair and maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
Responsibilities
- Receive repair orders from Service Advisors and perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
- Communicate with the Parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required and inform Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
- Document all work performed.
- Road-test vehicles when required.
- Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean.
- Keep shop area neat and clean and account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous work as an Automotive Technician; or graduation from an accredited Automotive Repair program.
- Valid and active in-state driver’s license.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written.
- Ability to operate a smartphone, tablet, and/or PC.
Schedule
Full-time, 3-day rotating schedule: 7:30 AM – 9:00 PM (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for one month, then Thursday/Friday/Saturday for the next month).
Benefits
A $10,000 sign-on bonus will be paid out incrementally to applicants who are at an A status, have manufacturer training, and a dealership background. The bonus begins 90 days after the start date.
