Job Summary

Ilderton Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM in High Point, North Carolina is seeking a highly motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, the Automotive Technician will be responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles with efficiency and accuracy. This is a full-time, hourly technician position in the fast-paced and exciting auto industry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions and issues
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tune ups, and tire rotations
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose problems and provide appropriate solutions
• Complete repairs efficiently and accurately, following all manufacturer and dealership guidelines
• Keep accurate and detailed records of all services performed on customers’ vehicles
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing excellent customer service at all times
• Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in the automotive industry
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician preferred
• Previous training and/or certifications from an accredited automotive training program preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and functions
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check and drug test
