Automotive Technician - (2nd Shift) - $6,000 Bonus (A-Level)

About the role

We're looking for a talented automotive mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience to join us at Carvana — the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history and one of the four fastest companies to make the Fortune 500.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of automotive repairs — from light maintenance to heavy engine work — and diagnostics on vehicles
• Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, ranging from timing belts and suspension systems to heavy engine work
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles
• Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles, as well as vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores

Schedule

Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs to deliver exceptional customer experience and meet delivery commitments.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools — must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• At least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license (some positions subject to Motor Vehicle Records check)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of safety equipment including face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
