Automotive Shop Foreman/Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Matching technician skills with incoming vehicle issues, maximizing technician time, efficiency, skill sets and education levels for quickest, best repair result
• Assisting in trouble shooting vehicle issues, training technicians on proper repair procedures
• Acting as liaison between assistant service managers and technicians
• Assisting with identifying customer symptoms, complaint verification as well as quality control
• Assisting service department managers with team management and shop morale
• Dispatching work to achieve customer promise times and proper distribution by skill set and work mix
• Anything else asked within the scope of the service department

Qualifications

• Previous related position and experience, such as automotive service department, parts department management
• High level of mechanical and technical automotive repair experience, such as master technician
• Prior proven ability to manage a team
• Successful previous team orientation
