About the role
As a Service Manager, you will oversee all business and administrative aspects of the service department. You will be responsible for operating the department profitably by controlling costs, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, and maintaining service records. The Service Manager is also responsible for building a loyal clientele and maintaining good employee relations. At Faulkner, we want every single one of our customers to leave satisfied. You must satisfy service concerns of all customers and ensure that service is performed at the highest level.
You will also be responsible for hiring, supervising, and monitoring the performance of all service department personnel, as well as providing training on administrative policies and procedures for all department personnel.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all business and administrative aspects of the service department

- Maintain service records
- Build a loyal clientele and maintain good employee relations
- Satisfy service concerns of all customers and ensure high-level service performance
- Hire, supervise, and monitor the performance of service department personnel
- Provide training on administrative policies and procedures
- Identify problems and opportunities, and implement process improvements
- Promote teamwork and communicate clearly both orally and in writing
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma, Vocational/Technical School Graduate, or Equivalent (College degree preferred)
- 2+ years of automotive experience required; management experience preferred
- High-performing Service Advisor with strong leadership skills to step into a Service Manager role
- Ability to work well in a team environment
