Automotive Service Manager

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage and retain service team, including advisors and technicians
• Listen, communicate effectively and resolve conflict with customers, employees and co-workers
• Meet department financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing annual sales and service budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
• Manage and maintain factory standards for warranty claims
• Maintain high CSI rating by handling customer complaints immediately and appropriately
• Maintain customer follow up system that encourages repeat and referral business
• Establish department goals and objectives, measure progress, analyze results and make improvements as needed
• Manage required training to comply with manufacturers
• Manage shop productivity, labor hours, cost of sale and operating expenses to provide for a profitable department

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of management experience in an automotive dealership required
• Strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• Successful experience in automotive retail management
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Valid and clean driver’s license
• Ability to work extended hours and Saturdays when necessary
• Strong focus on providing excellent customer service
