About the role
The Vehicle Reconditioning Arbitrator plays a critical role in maintaining fleet quality standards and ensuring consistent, fair decision-making related to vehicle damage assessments and reconditioning costs. In this field-based role, you will serve as the subject matter expert in resolving disputes between branches, customers, and third-party vendors while ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards. You will conduct hands-on evaluations across multiple locations, driving consistency and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- You support the resolution of disputes related to vehicle damage assessments and reconditioning costs across multiple markets
- You manage arbitration cases by applying company policies and industry standards to ensure fair and consistent outcomes
- You liaise with rental branches, reconditioning facilities, and third-party vendors to resolve escalated and complex cases
- You maintain quality standards through scheduled and unannounced site visits, auditing reconditioning work and documentation practices
- You receive and evaluate damage claims, conducting in-person vehicle inspections to validate findings and determine outcomes
- You assist operations leadership by documenting site visit results and delivering clear, actionable recommendations
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of experience in automotive damage assessment, claims adjustment, or vehicle reconditioning
- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- You are proficient in computer navigation, including Microsoft Office Applications
- You demonstrate strong organizational skills, can multi-task effectively, and excel in professional communication
- You are success-oriented and willing to take on multiple tasks
- You are flexible and willing to travel domestically up to 65%
