Automotive Mechanic Technician I- $1,500 New Hire Tool Bonus

About the role

We're looking for an Auto Maintenance Tech I to join our team at Manheim (a Cox Automotive company). This role requires a passion for cars and a willingness to get hands-on with mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform light duty work as an intermediate-level auto tech
• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices
• Perform oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flushes, spark plug replacements, and vehicle inspections
• Test and replace batteries, test and repair starting and charging electrical systems, and perform tire maintenance
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering, and suspension systems
• Evacuate and recharge air conditioning systems
• Maintain and repair equipment
• Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts
• May install new vehicle equipment
• Comply with relevant procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposable waste

Requirements

• 1 or more years of related work experience
• The ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles
• Valid driver's license required

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED
• Current ASE certifications: G1, A4, A5 (when required by leadership)

Pay

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.10 - $30.10/hour. Additional compensation may include commission and/or an incentive program.

Schedule

Employees are eligible for a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Additional paid time off includes bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
