About the role
Located at River Oaks Honda, the Journeyman Technician is responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned, adhering to dealer and factory standards. This position builds customer loyalty by developing trust through effective vehicle diagnosis and repair.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers.
- Continuously update technical skills and techniques through formal training to stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
- Maintain an organized and neat service bay.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician.
- Self-starter with a process-driven approach.
- Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations.
- 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy.
