About the role
Jack Schmitt Chevrolet of O'Fallon is expanding its service department and has an immediate opening for an automotive journeyman technician.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues with vehicles.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to repair and maintain vehicles.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for automotive repair tasks.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance including powertrain and alignment adjustments.
- Service automotive electrical systems and troubleshoot any related issues.
- Interpret schematics and perform diesel engine repairs as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service while working on GM vehicles.
- Maintain ASE Certification to ensure high-quality workmanship.
