What You'll Do
- Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment
- Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets
- Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections
- Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations
- Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality
- Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues
- Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes
- Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in, around, and underneath vehicles and trailers
- 21+ years of age
Qualifications
Candidates with backgrounds in automotive repair, automotive electrical, fleet maintenance, diesel/heavy-duty mechanics, vehicle upfitting, mobile service, ADAS/diagnostics, telematics, or vehicle electronics are encouraged to apply. You don't need to know every telematics system on day one—we're looking for strong technical aptitude, hands-on experience, and the ability to learn.
Nice to Have
- Telematics/GPS/ELD installation experience
- Experience with Samsara, Geotab, Motive, Verizon Connect, Lytx, or similar platforms
- 12V/24V electrical experience
- Commercial truck or trailer experience
- ADAS scanning or calibration experience
- ASE, I-CAR, or related certifications
