About the role

As an Automotive Account Specialist, you will plan, organize, and conduct activities to achieve performance standards for our clients in the automotive sector. This role involves extensive travel to client sites and requires a candidate who lives in Michigan or the metro Chicago area, with openness to relocation for advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all functions of an F&I Manager consistent with good business practices.
  • Achieve performance standards set by the company or leadership.
  • Isolate and resolve discrepancies in client performance and processes detrimental to sales, solicitation, and profit margins related to Assurant Dealer Services products.
  • Organize, plan, and conduct meetings with clients to promote communication and foster positive business relationships.
  • Facilitate training to ensure understanding of Assurant Dealer Services, products, policies, and procedures with dealership personnel.
  • Identify new opportunities for Assurant Dealer Services products not currently offered by existing clients.
  • Complete all reports for the Home Office in a timely manner, including 2-day kickoff worksheets, Trip Reports, and Post Assignment Evaluations.
  • Submit expenses during business travel and/or business expense receipts into the expense portal on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate and book airline, hotel, and car rental reservations through the Corporate Travel Department in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Complete any items requested by the Program Administrator, Director of Training, or other company employees.
  • Manage expenses within current Assurant Dealer Services expense guidelines.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of retail automotive dealership experience, specifically in F&I.
  • Extensive knowledge of retail automobile dealership operations.
  • Current state licensing required for the assigned territory or the ability to obtain licensing after training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • Proven retail sales experience in the automotive industry (a plus).
  • At least two years of experience in sales, management, and customer relations.
  • Strong sales and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Completion and graduation from our 1-week FSM Training Class.

Pay

$108,000 per year.
