About the Role

This is a hybrid (remote office and field, which is in NJ/NY) Specialist position in which you will be providing customer business outcomes and solutions to internal and external customers on industrial manufacturing automation applications and related services. This position involves working closely with end-users, system integrators, OEM's, engineering consulting firms, and electrical contractors at local high-tech customers to get our products specified for use. We will provide extensive training opportunities on all products and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing programs and initiatives related to Smart Components (Small Controllers, Industrial Control, Sensors, Safety, Distributed I/O, and condition-based monitoring) products and related services, as a single point of contact for the Rockwell Business Unit.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop marketing and business plans, technical, promotional activities, and support market objectives.
  • Understand the existing market, trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Customer business outcome-driven and a total solution resource.
  • Work with both internal and external customers on technical and product training, product selection, and pre/post-sales support.
  • Quotation preparation, including the development of material for Smart Components (Small Controllers, Industrial Control, Sensors, Safety, Distributed I/O, and condition-based monitoring) and related services as needed for customers.
  • Work closely with manufacturing sales engineers and engineering consultants to get Rockwell Automation products and services specified.
  • Play an active role with your customer’s buying behavior, becoming an intrinsic part of a customer's future manufacturing designs.

Requirements

  • Experience with automation Smart Components (Small Controllers, Industrial Control, Sensors, Safety, Distributed I/O, and condition-based monitoring) and related services.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.
  • Strong interpersonal communications and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, with an active desire to develop a stronger understanding of all Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley products and service offerings.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience and expertise in this area.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Hybrid work environment with frequent computer use.
  • Local (NY & NJ) travel (customers, vendors, job site, etc.) and occasional out-of-area travel (training).
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Good driving record.
