About the role
In this role, you will install automation devices on a variety of oil field equipment. You will work closely with other internal teams and departments to support safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, flow computers, and SCADA systems
- Configure control logic, communications (e.g., Modbus), and third-party device integrations
- Perform electrical and instrumentation work including calibration, loop checks, wiring, and termination
- Install and maintain field automation equipment, piping, conduit, cable tray, and related hardware
- Travel to customer sites and perform field work safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues in collaboration with customers and internal teams
- Complete accurate service documentation and reports in a timely manner
- Support on-call duties and promote a professional, safety-focused work environment
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. required
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be at least 18 years old to operate a company vehicle
- One to four years of experience in the automation field, or a strong entry-level background with applicable training and a willingness to learn
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- A detail-oriented work ethic with a high level of accuracy
