About the role

The Automation Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated systems to improve efficiency and reduce errors in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
• Develop and maintain software applications that integrate with existing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Debug and troubleshoot automation systems to ensure they meet performance standards.
• Document project progress and maintenance procedures for future reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in automation programming and system integration.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic).
• Experience with industrial automation tools and platforms like Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Rockwell Automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus.
• Experience with database management and SQL.
• Understanding of safety standards and certifications relevant to automation (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME).
