Key Responsibilities
- Automation & Engineering
- Design, implement, and configure automation systems including PLC, HMI, and vision systems
- Modify and maintain control logic for moderately complex to advanced systems
- Troubleshoot automation and IT-centric systems to detect and resolve issues
- Support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated processing, filling, inspection, and packaging equipment
- Validation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory standards, and quality requirements
- Author, review, and execute commissioning, qualification, and validation documentation
- Run test scripts and document results against specifications
- Contribute to validation protocols and execute testing activities
- Maintain accurate and detailed validation and qualification records
- Support development of validation master plans and periodic reviews
- Perform impact and risk assessments
- Change Management
- Support and manage change control processes, including:
- Authoring proposed changes
- Conducting impact assessments and regression analysis
- Supporting documentation and release activities
- Operations & Support
- Provide 24/7 support for automation systems as required
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operations
- Analyze process issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Collaboration & Project Execution
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and IT teams
- Lead or contribute to small project teams and manage assigned deliverables
- Communicate technical issues clearly and drive alignment across teams
- Support cybersecurity initiatives across site and network teams
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones
- 3–5 years of industrial automation experience
- Experience with SQL database creation and management
- Understanding of domain authentication and IT system integration
- Experience working with IT teams on system implementations and upgrades
- Ability to perform software installations, updates, and server upgrades
- Familiarity with Citrix environments
- Strong knowledge of GMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Ability to read, interpret, and modify control system logic and documentation
- Experience generating User Requirement Specifications (URS)
- Ability to make minor PLC and HMI modifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving ability
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
