About the role

We're looking for an Automation Engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, improving production through automation, and working on projects that have a direct impact on plant performance. If you are a Controls Engineer with 7+ years of experience with power distribution systems, this role may be a great fit.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated manufacturing systems including robotics, conveyors, assembly equipment, and vision systems
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial control systems
  • Integrate new automation equipment into existing manufacturing operations
  • Perform system testing, startup, commissioning, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot production equipment and perform root cause analysis
  • Develop preventive maintenance strategies for automated equipment
  • Lead automation and continuous improvement projects
  • Partner with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, UL, CE, and other applicable safety standards
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of Automation Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • Experience with robotics, HMIs, SCADA, sensors, vision systems, and industrial controls
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience integrating automated manufacturing equipment
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
  • Robotics or Automation certifications
  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments

Pay

$80,000–$115,000 per year (up to $120,000 for the right candidate)
