Automation Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Work within a project team, ensuring schedule adherence, execution, start-up, commissioning, owner interaction, and qualifications.
• Provide SME leadership in designated areas/fields, such as DCS, PLC, SCADA, BAS, Validation, Manufacturing and Utilities.
• If assigned as an Area Lead, support process issues, troubleshoot, engage in continuous improvement projects, system administration, and serve as a point of contact for Operations personnel.
• Develop standards and provide expertise to management.
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) within the area of responsibility and demonstrate problem-solving skills to support and meet needs within that area.
• Promote a collaborative and cooperative environment that fosters effective teamwork.
• Able to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GxP), including compliance, change control, quality oversight, and validation.
• May require after-hours support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in automation engineering and/or validation.

• Allen Bradley PLC/HMI - Design, Configuration, Programming, Troubleshooting, Maintenance, Administration.
• Ignition SCADA - Design, Configuration, Programming, Troubleshooting, Maintenance.
• Fanuc Robots - Design, Specifying, Troubleshooting.
• System Documentation - Drawings, FRS, SDD, URS, SOPs.
• Qualification / Validation - PLC's, Keysight or Optel Vision systems, Serialization, Packaging Equipment.
• Wincc7.4 SCADA Design, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Maintenance, Administration.
• PLC/HMI/ Servo Drive - Design, Configuration, Troubleshooting.
• PLC/PC Based Electrical Control Panel Design.
• Industrial Network, IO link, Smart IO.
