We are seeking an experienced automation engineer to manage system infrastructure and applications. Use your technical skills to drive mission-forward change by developing and implementing automation solutions, maintaining and improving our CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and management of infrastructure and applications. Additionally, you’ll strengthen your DevSecOps skills while supporting the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement automation solutions for system infrastructure and applications
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and management of infrastructure and applications
  • Write Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform
  • Automate system configurations, network operations, and DevOps pipelines in on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Provision and manage infrastructure and applications
  • Support sustainment and development of critical naval platforms

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell)
  • 2+ years of experience with automation tools (Ansible)
  • Experience with CI/CD toolsets (GitLab or Jenkins)
  • Experience writing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including automated server/network configurations, large-scale software deployments, monitoring, and testing (CI/CD)
  • Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Active Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience automating system configurations and orchestrating network operations and DevOps pipelines in cloud environments
  • Experience with JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
  • Knowledge of automation and process improvement through holistic programming solutions
  • Ability to analyze business requirements for designing automated process workflows

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet this threshold are eligible for select offerings, excluding health benefits.

Pay

Salary is determined by location, education, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

  • Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites as needed.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
