Automation & Controls Midwestern Regional Sales Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced industrial automation sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding a $4M+ annual quota, selling complex solutions across process control, engineering services, and digital transformation into manufacturing, water/wastewater, and critical infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities, establishing trusted relationships with key decision-makers
- Uncover client challenges and position tailored automation and digital solutions that deliver measurable value
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Stay ahead of industry trends and maintain an active presence within automation and controls networks
- Lead cross-functional sales efforts, leveraging engineering and delivery teams to win business
- Ensure seamless transition from sales to delivery while partnering with internal teams on strategy and execution
Requirements
- Experience exceeding quota in complex automation, controls, or engineering solution sales
- Strong communication, consulting, and analytical skills
- Ability to travel approximately 50%
- Ability to work remotely within the Midwest (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Indiana, or Illinois preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
Skills
- Strong technical credibility, with hands-on or prior experience in industrial automation environments
