Auto Operations Supervisor (Hybrid)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage requests for time off for personnel under their supervision.
  • Complete evaluations, progress reports, and personal improvement plans for all personnel under their supervision.
  • Develop, monitor, and support the completion of goals for personnel.
  • Handle employee grievances and complaints and participate in employee discipline.
  • Regularly coach, train, and mentor team and communicate feedback on progress and opportunities to assist in goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings.
  • Participate in the hiring process, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations for prospective new employees.
  • Provide technical guidance and education of claims procedures and regulations.
  • Interpret and provide insight into regulatory and legislative changes and the impact on current practices.
  • Aid in the development and execution of short-term and long-term goals and priority projects/initiatives for the auto claims and operations.
  • Aid in division operations and procedural changes.
  • Provide technical insight into the areas of training, quality assurance, early fraud warning, and customer experience.
  • Maintain and further develop claims operations understanding to offer insights for improvement and growth.
  • Continuously focus on ways to improve leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Establish and maintain solid working relationships with other divisions.
  • Analyze findings and collaborate and develop mitigation plans with other divisions to address compliance concerns arising from quality assurance, early fraud warning, and customer experience reviews.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 4 years of insurance experience
  • Leadership skills

Skills & Qualifications

  • Complete understanding of NYCM and ACIC auto insurance policies, applicable insurance regulations and basic principles of insurance.
  • Computer literate; proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in claim procedures and workflow processes.
  • Good leadership and supervisor skills.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Critical Thinking.
  • Flexible.
  • Professional and positive attitude with ability to influence and support change.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team fostering good working relationships.
