Auto Inspections Trainer
Description
Successful applicant would teach evening classes using a variety of teaching methods involving both lecture and hands-on lab instruction.
Job Description
- Provides classroom instruction to students through lectures, demonstration, laboratory exercises, handouts, responding to questions, and testing according to established meeting patterns.
- Assesses student learning outcomes and demonstrates the use of the results to make improvements to course/program.
- Provides feedback to students regarding course progression.
- Records and maintains suitable class records which show student membership hours, attendance and grades in accordance with deadlines.
- Utilizes technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, communicate with others and facilitate learning.
- Test prep and prepares students for NC state inspection exam.
- Informs the Dean of workforce and the Dean of Student Services of any student issues (academic, attendance, behavior, cheating, and plagiarism) as soon as possible.
Minimum Qualifications
- North Carolina Vehicle Inspection Instructor Certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Automotive Systems Technology and current ASE certifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to relate to people from differing educational, economic and social backgrounds.
- Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently as needed to move objects and materials.
