AUTISM TEACHER ASSISTANT - 188 DAY

Autism Teacher Assistant position at Rosa Parks Elementary School in Woodbridge, VA. An essential function of this role is the ability to work in person on site for 7.0 hours per day.

About the role

This paraprofessional position assists the classroom teacher with a variety of tasks after training, including emergency plans, health-related plans/services, and carrying out instructional procedures. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the teacher, building administrator, and appropriate Special Education Department administrator.

Requirements

Candidates must be Highly Qualified through one of the following:

• Obtained an Associate’s degree or higher from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education (documented through transcripts);
• Completed a minimum of 48 college credits from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education (documented through transcripts);
• Passed the ParaPro assessment with a minimum score of 455 (documentation of test score must be submitted).

Pay

$21.12 - $33.82/hour ($27,793 - $44,503/year).
