About the role

This is a paraprofessional position in which the teacher assistant supports the classroom teacher with a variety of tasks after training. These tasks include implementing emergency plans, providing health-related plans and services, and carrying out instructional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with instructional procedures
• Implement emergency plans as trained
• Provide health-related plans and services

Supervision

Work is performed under the direct supervision of the teacher, building administrator, and the appropriate Special Education Department administrator.
