Audit Senior Associate - Government
About the role
The Weaver Public Sector Audit team is seeking an Audit Senior Associate – Public Sector to join their dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality audit services to public sector clients, including state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, and higher education institutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead engagement sections
- Supervise staff
- Perform complex audit procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant auditing standards, governmental regulations, and reporting frameworks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2-4 years of experience of public accounting experience
- CPA candidate
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAS, GAAP, Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) and internal control concepts
- Experience with state and local governments and/or performing Single Audits
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
