Audit Manager

About the role

We are a midsize CPA firm with 25 employees and growing. We provide tax, audit, and accounting services to a variety of clients including high-net-worth individuals and UHNWIs, complex partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, construction companies, agriculture businesses, wholesale and distribution entities, and standard closely held businesses. We prioritize a healthy work-life balance with busy seasons typically lasting 45-55 hours and Fridays off between Labor Day and Memorial Day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Financial Statement Audits
• Review Colleagues' Audit Paperwork
• Work Closely with Clients as Main Point of Contact
• Obtain Necessary Information and Documents for Audit
• Help Uphold Company Policies and Best Practices
• Oversee and Mentor Junior Accountants

Requirements

• 4+ Years of Public Accounting Experience
• Active CPA (preferred)
• Strong Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and Nonprofit Reporting Standards (FASB, OMB Uniform Guidance)
• Proven Ability to Manage Audit Teams, Review Workpapers, and Oversee Engagement Performance
• Excellent Communication and Relationship Management Skills with Both For-Profit and Nonprofit Clients
• Skilled in Budgeting, Scheduling, and Meeting Engagement Deadlines

Qualifications

• Experience Leading Financial Statement and/or Employee Benefit Plan Audit Engagements
• Knowledgeable in Complex Partnership, S-Corp, and C-Corp Entities
• Understanding of Construction, Agriculture, Wholesale & Distribution Industries
• Ability to Maintain Professionalism and Ethical Standards

• Base Salary: $100,000 - $140,000
• Quarterly Bonuses (15-30%)
