The Audiovisual and Telehealth Specialist

Location: 8600 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD 20814

Hours: 6:30a-3p

  • Pay range: $26-$28 per hour

Responsibilities

Provides technical support of systems including audiovisual systems, videoconferencing, recording and livestreaming technologies, computer projection and display, audio systems, teleconferencing, virtual meeting technologies, patient television systems, telemedicine technology, and interactive patient systems using sophisticated digital software and hardware.

Supports events including in person, virtual, and hybrid in person/virtual meetings.

Operates, maintains, distributes, installs, configures, repairs, and upgrades various systems while ensuring their optimal performance.

Instructs staff in use of supported technologies.

  • Supports end users in the provisioning, setup, and use and recording of various virtual meeting software platforms
  • Trains staff in use of audiovisual hardware and software in meeting rooms and in use of Johns Hopkins approved virtual meeting software
  • Performs onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex audiovisual hardware and software problems for a variety of end users, and recommends and implements corrective solutions, including vendor repair as needed
  • Maintains an inventory of equipment, cables, and parts
  • Installs audiovisual system and television system technology or assists in vendor installations
  • Supports audio, video, and television broadcast systems in hospital interfaith chapels
  • Documents equipment and systems failure, repair, installation, and removal
  • Responds to requests for support in a timely fashion
  • Effectively performs other relevant duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting audiovisual systems
  • 1 year of experience supporting patient television systems and telemedicine systems preferred

  • Knowledge of video editing software
  • Knowledge of videoconferencing systems
  • Knowledge of Apple and Microsoft computer platforms
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office automation software
  • Knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Teams
