Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe and appropriate set up, installation, operation, testing, troubleshooting and teardown of audio and video equipment for live events, including projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras and lighting.
- Must have a reliable cell phone for occasional calls or text messages during events.
- Communicates with clients to understand technical needs.
- Captivates delivery and setup of audiovisual (AV) needs for events and classes.
- Operates AV equipment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues that may arise during the event.
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
- Ensures equipment is not damaged during use and is returned to its proper storage locations.
- Acts as a resource for students and staff to address questions or issues.
- Affords assistance with developing detailed and consistent documentation for department processes and policies.
- Affords assistance with basic clerical work, including scheduling, organization, training and other related tasks.
Requirements
- High School diploma and 1 year of experience providing audiovisual support in classrooms or similar environment or for live events required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualifications
- Basic proficiency in modern computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Apps, etc.) required
- Strong problem solving skills required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively required
