Audiovisual Analyst I

About the role

The Audiovisual Analyst I is an integral part of Latham & Watkins' Technology & Information Services team. This role will operate and provide technical support for all audiovisual components and technology equipment in conference rooms and collaborative spaces, ensuring that all conference rooms are equipped with appropriate audiovisual and technology components based on room size and functionality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all audiovisual and technology equipment, and collaboration applications in conference rooms are functioning and ready for use in advance of scheduled meetings.
• Provide consultative guidance and support to help requestors and clients identify the best technology and collaboration experience for each event.
• Perform daily checks of conference rooms to ensure all equipment is working properly, and coordinate with audiovisual technology vendors or other members of the Technology team for repairs or maintenance.
• Schedule and supervise vendors for maintenance of conference center technology equipment.
• Operate conference room equipment when necessary, such as starting videoconference calls, digital recording, setting camera positions, performing live switching during videoconferences, transitioning between presentations, etc.
• Protect and maintain any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains.

Qualifications

• Possess advanced knowledge of various technologies, techniques, and equipment used for high-quality videoconferencing, audioconferencing, projecting, and other meeting support technologies (e.g., control systems, video systems, audioconference phones, microphones, projectors, speakers).
• Exhibit strong analytical skills to troubleshoot various symptoms, diagnose issues, and test, recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems.
• Provide high-level consultative customer service through strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and through demonstration or presentation.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Audiovisual, or Information Systems, preferably.
• Certifications from audiovisual (AV) manufacturers or integrators (e.g., Extron or Crestron) and industry organizations (e.g., Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, Certified Technology Specialist).
• A minimum of three (3) years of technology support experience with PC hardware/software.
• Advanced knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including video codecs, projectors, microphones, and cameras.
• Experience with videoconferencing platforms, including Cisco, Zoom, Teams, etc.
