ANALYST I
About the role
The State of California seeks multiple Analyst I positions within the Northbay Region. Reporting to Staff Services Managers, Region Maintenance Managers I and II, the Analyst I provides clerical, administrative, and analytical support for payroll and timekeeping issues.
Responsibilities
- Researches and analyzes payroll issues, preparing and reviewing payroll reports.
- Reviews and corrects time entries, resolving discrepancies and making recommendations for necessary corrections based on leave balances.
- Communicates with Headquarters Human Resources to resolve payroll and employee-related issues.
- Responds to inquiries from staff regarding timekeeping discrepancies.
- Participates in a collaborative work environment, analyzing data, comprehending rules and regulations, and implementing the timekeeping computer program.
Requirements
This position requires a bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess the minimum qualifications as outlined in the classification specification.

Pay
