Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret a variety of tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment.
- Evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational and conduct medical record reviews.
- Operate computerized programs and utilize application software and databases to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA.
- Conduct otoscope examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment.
Requirements
- Doctorate Degree in Audiology (AuD), Master’s of Audiology (M.A.), Master’s of Science Degree in Audiology (M.S.), Audiology of Speech Language Pathology Degree (PHD), Master’s in Communication Disorders (MCD), Doctor of Education in Audiology (Ed.D).
- An active and unrestricted audiologist license in the state in which exams are performed.
- ASHA certification or completion of a master’s or doctorate level through an ASHA certified program.
- 2 years experience in Audiology role (preferred).
