Coordinates and performs a broad range of technical functions related to the setup, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of media equipment across all Business School campuses. Assists with video or multimedia productions for the department. Supervises student Audio Visual Aides, including classroom equipment setups, troubleshooting, and class recording. Maintains classroom control and monitoring systems; experience with Extron and/or Crestron control systems preferred. Manages inventory of consumable and loanable items using an online system.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in video production skills (camera, audio, lighting)
- Basic computer knowledge and understanding of AV systems, including ability to read wiring block diagrams
- Willingness to learn new skills and technologies to stay current
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with faculty, staff, and students
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work and think independently for troubleshooting and basic tests
- Ability to lift fifty pounds
Requirements
- A video production or information technology-related diploma or degree from a two-year technical school or community college
- At least three years’ experience with media equipment, including video displays, computer displays, presentation technologies, and video production
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong video production skills
- Experience with Crestron/Extron video and control systems
- Experience with MediaSite
Schedule
Work hours vary by time of year but generally include weekday evenings and full days every other weekend.
