Audio-Visual Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide technical help with a wide array of audio-visual equipment to customers and guests of the Kellogg Center.
• Ensure all audio and video equipment runs smoothly.
• Make sure the Kellogg Center receives the best possible customer service.

Requirements

• Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year).
• Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Motivated self-starter and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) and positive attitude, especially when working with a diverse population.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Some audio-visual experience or technical aptitude required.
• Able to occasionally work nights and/or weekends.
• Work through Fall 2026 semesters.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year).

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Technical aptitude, particularly with audio-visual equipment.

Benefits

• Starting rate of $15 per hour effective 8/9/26.

Pay

• $15 per hour

Schedule

• Variable depending on operational needs – Including evenings, weekends, holidays, and university breaks.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to move up to 20 pounds.
