Attorney Recruiting Coordinator

About the role
The Attorney Recruiting Coordinator supports the full-cycle lateral associate recruiting process, including candidate sourcing support, application tracking, interview scheduling, candidate communications, offer administration, and onboarding logistics. This position reports to the Attorney Recruiting Manager and works closely with practice group leaders, office administrators, attorneys, and other business professionals throughout the firm.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Attorney Recruiting Manager and practice group leaders in executing recruiting strategies and hiring plans to address attorney staffing needs.
- Maintain productive working relationships with legal search firms, candidates, and referral sources, serving as a primary point of contact for recruiting logistics and communications.
- Review application materials for completeness, maintain candidate records, organize candidate materials for review, and facilitate the movement of candidates through the recruiting process.
- Coordinate and manage all administrative aspects of the interview process, including scheduling interviews, preparing interview materials, communicating with candidates, collecting interview feedback, and maintaining recruiting records.
- Coordinate lateral associate onboarding activities in collaboration with Human Resources, Office Administration, and other administrative departments to help ensure a smooth transition to the firm.
- Support the lateral partner recruiting process by coordinating interviews, preparing candidate materials, facilitating candidate communications, and assisting with onboarding logistics.
- Maintain recruiting data, applicant tracking systems, reports, and recruiting documentation to support team operations and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with recruiting projects, process improvements, and other recruiting initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of recruiting, human resources, or professional services administration; experience in a law firm or a law school career services office is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with attorneys, lateral candidates, senior leadership, vendors, and colleagues.
- Excellent organization and project management skills; experience managing complex interview schedules is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams; experience with Workday and applicant tracking systems preferred but not required.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality, along with a collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position with regular office hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role is non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $56,000 - $98,000. Base compensation may vary based on skills and overall experience. This salary range is based on market location.
