Attorney Needed

After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. This is a non-litigation position. Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex issues to determine possible exposure to damages and devise strategies for the successful resolution of disputes. In the context of claim file management, this involves making decisions and providing advice about claims against the Company's insureds and/or the Company. In other contexts, this will focus on the propriety of Company positions.
• Review assigned matters to ensure that the Company meets all obligations and responsibilities to insureds, third parties, regulatory authorities, and the courts.
• Review outside counsel activities to ensure that the Company and its insureds receive competent representation, services that are necessary, and at a reasonable cost.
• Provide advice and counsel with regard to other general corporate matters.
• Stay current with changes to legislation, case law, rules, and regulations that directly affect the Company and the insurance industry, and advise impacted branches/divisions of changes that may impact them.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an attorney
