Attorney (Litigation Associate - Richmond, VA)

About the role

Whiteford’s Richmond, Virginia office seeks a motivated and detail‑oriented Litigation Associate with at least one year of experience to handle a diverse caseload that includes community association matters (property owners’ and condominium unit owners’ associations), general counsel representation, general business litigation, and trust, estate, and fiduciary litigation (will contests, trust contests, guardianship/conservatorship matters, power of attorney disputes). The role offers the chance to engage in both courtroom advocacy and strategic client advising.

Responsibilities

• Handle community association matters (property owners’ and condominium unit owners’ associations)
• Provide general counsel representation
• Conduct general business litigation
• Manage trust, estate, and fiduciary litigation, including will contests, trust contests, guardianship and conservatorship matters, and power of attorney disputes
• Engage in courtroom advocacy
• Advise clients on strategic, practical matters
• Develop meaningful client relationships
• Work self‑directed with a strong desire for courtroom exposure

Requirements

• At least one year of litigation experience
• Currently admitted to practice law in Virginia

Pay

The salary range is $145,000 – $180,000 commensurate with experience.
