Attorney/Lawyer

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and evaluate statutes, regulations, and case law to support litigation strategy and case development.
• Oversee discovery activities by coordinating document review, preparing responses, analyzing evidence, and identifying key factual issues.
• Prepare motions, pleadings, briefs, and related legal filings with a strong focus on clarity, accuracy, and persuasive advocacy.
• Participate in depositions, arbitrations, court appearances, and other litigation proceedings as part of active case management.
• Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, developing witness materials, managing deadlines, and assisting with pre-trial coordination.
• Advise on insurance coverage and bad faith issues through careful legal analysis and practical recommendations.
• Use legal research platforms such as LexisNexis to investigate precedent and strengthen written and oral arguments.
• Maintain sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in interactions with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to practice law in California.
• At least 2 years of experience practicing as an attorney in civil litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Hands-on experience managing discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
• Strong written communication, verbal advocacy, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Able to handle multiple matters effectively while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with insurance coverage law is advantageous.
