We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Attorney with a strong background in Insurance Defense to join our dynamic legal team. Our ideal candidate should possess an in-depth knowledge of insurance defense law, products liability, and premises liability defense, and have a proven track record of successful defense litigation. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex legal issues.

Responsibilities

  • Represent insurance companies in defense of bodily and personal injury claims.
  • Provide expert legal advice on insurance defense law, products liability, and premises liability defense.
  • Conduct thorough and detailed investigations into insurance claims to determine the validity of the claim and the potential for defense.
  • Draft, review, and modify legal documents related to insurance defense cases.
  • Prepare and present defense cases in court.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of the insurance company to resolve cases efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Stay abreast of current legislation and legal developments in insurance defense law and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop and implement effective defense strategies.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current license to practice law in the state.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense law, with a focus on products liability and premises liability defense.
  • Proven experience representing insurance companies in defense of bodily and personal injury claims.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex legal issues efficiently.
  • Strong research and report writing skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
  • A strategic thinker with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.

Pay

$100,000 - $170,000 per year
