Attorney - Attorney II (multi-level)

Provides legal counsel and advice to the corporation and its subsidiaries to ensure their effective operation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal counsel and advice to the corporation and its subsidiaries to ensure their effective operation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an A.B.A accredited law school and admission to the bar.
• Zero to three years’ experience during law school or as a practicing attorney.

Skills

• Superior academic record.
• Ability to determine appropriateness of settlement or litigation.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong negotiation, human relations, and communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference for candidates based in Memphis.
• Experience in employment litigation law, particularly Title VII.
• Employment litigation experience, investigations experience, leave and accommodation law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management experience.
• Strong judgment and decision-making.
• Attention to detail.
• Collaboration and teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Law firm employment litigation experience.

Pay

• Attorney: Mkt N & Y: $7,521.48 - $15,042.95 /mo
• Attorney: Mkt M: $8,649.70 - $17,299.39 /mo
• Attorney II Mkt N & Y: $9,932.42 - $19,864.85 /mo
• Attorney II: Mkt M: $11,422.28 - $22,844.58 /mo

Schedule

This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN (preferred), PGH, PA, Plano, TX, Irvine, CA, or DC. Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.
