Attorney

Must be admitted to the South Carolina Bar and reside in South Carolina, with preference given to candidates living in or near Columbia, Florence, or Charleston. Position is remote but requires travel for in-person court hearings throughout the state.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients at mediations, hearings, trials, and other duties as assigned
• Prepare and draft pleadings, correspondence, and motions
• Analyze and review complaints, motions, a variety of legal documents, and final judgments
• Conduct legal research
• Provide legal analysis for, and communicate with, clients regarding case matters
• Deliver outstanding customer service and legal representation to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• South Carolina Bar Admission required
• Other state bar admission a plus
• Minimum five years’ experience
• Experience in uncontested and contested foreclosure litigation required
• Circuit court/master in equity trial experience desirable
• Must reside in South Carolina
• Flexible schedule but must be able to work 20-25 hours per week (can work more if desired)
• This position must be the primary law firm employer
