About the Role

A bit about us: We are actively seeking an experienced Permanent Attorney for our thriving Legal Department. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team while working on a diverse range of real estate and community association matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on a range of real estate matters, including transactions, disputes, and enforcement.
• Handle HOA and condominium matters, interpreting and advising on governing documents, bylaws, and CC&Rs.
• Represent clients in foreclosure proceedings, with a focus on judicial foreclosures.
• Manage litigation cases, from initiation to resolution, including trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Provide compliance advisory services, ensuring that all activities are in line with association law and other relevant regulations.
• Act as general counsel, providing legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues.
• Serve as client counsel, building strong relationships with clients and providing them with expert advice and representation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Lawyer or Property Attorney.
• Experience with HOA, property associate, community associate, and condominium associate matters.
• In-depth knowledge of governing documents, bylaws, CC&R, and association law.
• Proven experience in foreclosure processes, particularly judicial foreclosures.
• Extensive litigation experience, with a strong track record in dispute resolution and enforcement.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compliance advisory services.
• Experience serving as general counsel and client counsel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Active membership in the state bar.
• High ethical standards and professionalism in interactions with clients and colleagues.
