Responsibilities

• Independently manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft, argue, and respond to motions, pleadings, and briefs in California state and federal courts.
• Handle all phases of discovery, including taking and defending depositions and preparing witnesses and experts.
• Advise clients and provide practical, strategic legal counsel.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Respond to crisis management matters requiring immediate legal analysis and strategic guidance.
• Partner with senior attorneys on complex, high-value disputes, contributing to case strategy and execution.
• Support business development efforts and cultivate strong client relationships.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and staff as the team continues to expand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience with a law firm.
• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
• Demonstrated experience with motion practice, depositions, and trial and/or arbitration proceedings.
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and state and federal court practice.
• Experience in one or more of the firm's core practice areas.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Able to evaluate complex legal issues and develop effective strategies under pressure.
• Strong client management skills and sound professional judgment.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
