Attorney - Assessment Recovery

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to handle assessment recovery, real estate litigation, money judgments, bankruptcy, judgment enforcement, foreclosure, and other real property matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse real estate litigation caseload.
• Draft complaints, answers, discovery, motions, and legal documents.
• Conduct legal research, witness preparation, and depositions.
• Handle motion practice, trial preparation, and trial proceedings.
• Advise clients on case status and legal strategy.
• Manage case deadlines, electronic task lists, billing, and workflow.
• Coordinate with legal and administrative support staff.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Wisconsin Bar admission required.
• Experience in real estate, corporate, contract, or civil litigation.
• Knowledge of assessment recovery, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and judgment enforcement.
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent case-management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software.
