About the role
This position functions as the Division Chief of the Finance Division. The division handles all investment and bonding transactions for numerous state agencies, departments and state authorities, state surplus funds investments, and various financial matters for local governments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all investment and bonding transactions for state agencies and departments.
- Manage state surplus funds investments.
- Tackle financial matters for counties, cities, villages, townships, districts, authorities, and other local governmental organizations.
Requirements
- Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law.
- Six years of post-bar admission legal experience.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of state and local government finance laws and regulations.
