Attendant Room-Fort Meade

Role Purpose

As a Room Attendant – you’ll make sure our rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in - or get a bit of last minute work done.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain rooms at their best, following established standards but making each room special and memorable for guests.
• Help guests, offering assistance such as providing toothbrushes or directions.
• Keep your supervisor updated on room service progress and alert them to any repairs needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment when necessary.
• Stay organized, manage supplies and amenities, and minimize waste.
• Reunite items with owners and log any lost and found property.
• Wear the uniform with pride and maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as needed, including assisting with deep cleaning projects and turndown services.
• Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and report lost and found items according to established procedures.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.

Key Skills & Experiences

• Fitness is important due to the physical nature of the role, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and bending/kneeling.
• Literacy skills, including reading, writing, and basic math, are required.
• A flexible attitude to shifts is essential, as you may need to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Hiring Salary

The hourly pay range for this role is $16.50 to $18.
